James Harden and the Thunder come up short against the Memphis Grizzlies

The Oklahoma City Thunder looked human for the first time in a week losing 94-88 to the Memphis Grizzlies despite closing the gap to one point in the 4th quarter.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder in scoring with 21 points. Other leaders included Kendrick Perkins who had 11 rebounds, James Harden contributed five assists, and Serge Ibaka added six blocked shots.

Thunder Coach Scott Brooks said the Grizzlies slowed them down, played physical, and kept them from running the floor as much as they would have liked to. That was evident with the Thunder only having two fast break chances in the first half scoring on neither.

No rest for the weary either with back-to-back matchups against playoff contenders.

First, on Wednesday, the Thunder travel to Miami to face the Heat at 7 p.m. on ESPN 2. Then on Friday, a trip to see the Pacers in Indiana at 6 on Fox Sports Oklahoma.

The 40-13 Thunder have a playoff spot clinched, but look to win on the road this week in hopes of maintaining the No. 1 spot in the West which they currently hold by 2.5 games over the San Antonio Spurs.
